Build MVP Billing Module

Project Overview:

Create a billing and invoice management system for the belfry application. The project is to design and build the end-to-end implementation of a billing module, allowing a user to create and manage invoices. Eventually, we’d want to integrate payments support into this module (ACH, etc.), but that isn’t in the scope of this project.

• View the status of all invoices
• Create new invoices:
  • These need to be partially automated based on the customer data already uploaded to our app.
• Update the status of invoices:
  • To prepare, paid, past due, unpaid, etc.
• Metrics on invoice status

This is a $50 billion industry with over 800k employees in the United States that protects important assets, but lacks modern, intuitive software for companies to manage their back office and their officers in the field.

What you’ll accomplish

You’ll have the opportunity to do so much more than what a Full Stack Engineer role would entail at a large company:

• You’ll scope, design, and build robust APIs and services from scratch.
• Meet with customers and advisors to get feedback on features you’re responsible for implementing.
• Design and implement intuitive UIs across our platforms.
• Drive the technical stack and standards used within Belfry across the full software development lifecycle.

• Technically strong: 4+ years of experience as a software engineer. Familiarity with our tech stack (React, Python) is a plus, but not required.
